What is the time commitment involved for the public Practitioner Certification Program?
The shared time online for the public Practitioner Certification Program is a total of 22 hours.
The Practitioner Certification Program is three months long and is made up of the following:
Four live learning sessions to teach you the fundamentals of human-centered design and the LUMA System in particular.
- Each learning session consists of:
- Two hours of instruction and hands-on activities
- One-hour break (time may vary)
- Two hours of instruction and hands-on activities
Three, two-hour coaching sessions (monthly) to help you apply what you’ve learned back in your daily work, share out your results, and receive expert feedback from a LUMA coach as well as peer feedback from other participants.
Each participant's total time spent will vary depending on the project they are utilizing LUMA methods with. For example, some participants tackle personal projects at home on the weekends, and others pick methods to utilize in an ongoing work project across several meetings and planning sessions. We estimate that each challenge will take at least one-and-a-half to two hours.
