I need LUMA to fill out paperwork (e.g. SF-182) before we can register online for a public training program. Where should I send the paperwork?
LUMA does not need to see an SF-182 as documentation for training. While we are grateful for the internal efforts within an agency to complete these documents, we respectfully offer that the SF-182 does not fulfill the procurement agreements necessary through LUMA's GSA Schedule to secure training as there is no mechanism for both parties to agree to terms, conditions, or payment by mutual signature.
Per OPM's website:
"The intent of the SF-182 is to approve and record completion of employee training—not for use as a procurement document. However, agencies that choose to use the SF-182 to procure training should consult with the agency contracting office for agency specific policies on the use of SF182 as a training procurement option. "
As a result, the SF-182 does not constitute a contract between the training participant and LUMA. The best way to procure training is through the guidance below:
